Description of problem: When going to upgrade from release to release (now from Icehouse to Juno) I must read tons of documentation: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes/Juno#General_Upgrade_Notes https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes/Juno#Upgrade_Notes https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes/Juno#Upgrade_Notes_2 https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes/Juno#Upgrade_Notes_3 ... and much more Going to follow all of them is both time consuming and painful. Life would be much easier if there would be upgrade tool, which do this automatically. I does not need to do the actual upgrade. It can be just additional rule to PreUpgrade Assistant, which analyze the system and will print the risks and suggestions and provide admin with command that needs to be executed. See: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/PreUpgrade_Assistant https://github.com/phracek/preupgrade-assistant
Only for sure, correct wiki page is: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Preupgrade_Assistant
This bug is against a Version which has reached End of Life. If it's still present in supported release (http://releases.openstack.org), please update Version and reopen.
In place upgrades now supported in Director.
