Sounds from the steam client, i.e. alerts voice are scratchy (it's fine with another gnu/linux distro with exact same hardware and steam client).

but sound from a video in the steam client (up-to-date beta) is ok.

upgraded to rawhide today. Pulseaudio is fixed there.
