Description of problem: Audio not work, no sound is audible. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 21 - kernel 3.17.2-300.fc21.i686 alsa-utils-1.0.28-2.fc21.i686 alsa-plugins-pulseaudio-1.0.28-3.fc21.i686 alsa-lib-1.0.28-2.fc21.i686 How reproducible: Fresh install and no sound and into audio control panel is show "Output Dummy" Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Beta 1 Fedora 21 2. Open some music: no sound is audible 3. Open Audio Control Panel: Output Dummy is show Actual results: no sound audible Expected results: Sound audible and into Audio control panel see "HDA Intel" Additional info: Here is the output of alsa-info: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=dfee3aefc7ad64b14aa3f44cfdd9582ec7a8f23e I have check to run alsamixer, mute unmute, change (F6) sound car (HDA Intel/Default). None is audible. If I run alsaunmute: $ alsaunmute /sbin/alsactl: sysfs_init:48: sysfs path '/sys' is invalid Found hardware: "HDA-Intel" "Realtek ALC880" "HDA:10ec0880,08800000,00100800 HDA:10573055,10573055,00100700" "0x152d" "0x0748" Hardware is initialized using a generic method
After many test, I have resolve (partially) my problem with this command: $ sudo echo "options snd-hda-intel model=3stack" > /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf (or model=6stack) then reboot. Now the audio work (and this, for me, is sufficient), but if I plug the headphone into jack, external audio is not mute and into headphone there is no sound. Now Audio Control Panel show: "Analogic headphones - Internal Audio" "Analogic Output - Internal Audio" Some suggest? Thanks
Thats likely (at least partially) a kernel/driver issue, reassigning to alsa-lib

This message is a reminder that Fedora 21 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 21. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '21'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 21 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 21 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-12-01. Fedora 21 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
