This costing us over 60MB on the cloud image. I don't know if the solution here is to revert python-boto or something else. (Note: fairly urgent, since F21 change deadline is November 18th.)
Possible approach might be to package a python2 version of python-boto? We could probably live with that.
Can we pin to, or package a python2 boto for f21, and make plans to break the boto dependency in heat-cfntools "soon", so we don't need it for f22?
(In reply to Steven Hardy from comment #2) > Can we pin to, or package a python2 boto for f21, and make plans to break > the boto dependency in heat-cfntools "soon", so we don't need it for f22? That seems reasonable, yes.
The dep on python3 was a bug, and gholms has already built a version without the dependency. http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=591757
Fixed python-boto update: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2014-14606/python-boto-2.34.0-4.fc21 (please test and give karma)

Ryan, no, that one was about cloud-init's requirement on python-boto.
Closing this bug since the python-3 dependency has been fixed. Opening a bug about getting rid of heat-cfntools boto dependency[1] altogether at some point. [1]: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1180241
