Description Matt Reid 2014-11-11 19:06:51 UTC
Description of problem:
Following up from the discussion in 1148574, since there is no such thing as an event log as far as I'm aware, we should update any references of "event log" to instead say "events pane" when we're talking about the Events pane in the UI.

In our documentation, we refer to that area of the UI as the Alerts/Events Pane.

Alerts/Events Pane
"The Alerts tab lists all high severity events such as errors or warnings. The Events tab shows a list of events for all resources. The Tasks tab lists the currently running tasks. You can view this panel by clicking the maximize/minimize button."

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.4/html-single/Administration_Guide/index.html#Graphical_User_Interface_elements

If not all of the event log strings appear in the UI, and some are in the CLI, maybe we can be more generic and just say "Events" or "Event List" as Einav suggested in the other BZ. If there's no way to access the Events pane information through the CLI though, that seems somewhat problematic, but I'm not familiar with the RHEV API.

Sample error from when I was trying to configure Storage in the UI:
"There is no storage domain under the specified path. Check event log for more details."
