Description haiyang,dong 2014-11-12 08:48:56 UTC
Description of problem:
Auto install RHEV-H with "kdump_ssh+kdump_ssh_key" parametes.
BOOTIF=eth0 storage_init=/dev/sda kdump_ssh=root.8.222 kdump_ssh_key=http://10.66.11.225/monitor/test_results/id_rsa_10.66.8.222 firstboot
After auto install success, login rhev-h and could see configuration in kdump page and "/etc/kdump".
But service kdump fails to start by default:
[root@dhcp-66-73-112 admin]# service kdump status
Kdump is not operational

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhev-hypervisor6-6.6-20141107.0.iso
ovirt-node-3.1.0-0.25.20141107gitf6dc7b9.el6.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Auto install RHEV-H with "kdump_ssh+kdump_ssh_key" parametes.
BOOTIF=eth0 storage_init=/dev/sda kdump_ssh=root.8.222 kdump_ssh_key=http://10.66.11.225/monitor/test_results/id_rsa_10.66.8.222 firstboot
2. After auto install success, login rhev-h and check configuration in kdump page and "/etc/kdump",
and service kdump status

Actual results:
After step2, could see configuration in kdump page and "/etc/kdump".
But service kdump fails to start by default.

Expected results:

We never saw a bug specific to this way of configuring kdump, thus I'm closing this bug for now.
