Same thing applies to assets if done via the copy icon in project explorer. Project explorer must be configured to show "Repository view". Copying asset via button on editor panel header works. Seems most of the operations done via the project explorer links are wonky. Same thing happens when trying to rename an asset or package. When deleting a package (via a project explorer link/icon), user gets an error pop-up with "Unable to complete your request. The following exception occurred: null." See bug 1163677 for an 'archive' issue. *** Bug 1117195 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
Created attachment 957053 [details] screenshot Description of problem: User cannot create a copy of a package inside of a project. See steps to reproduce and screenshot. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): BP/RMS 6.1.0 ER1 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to Project authoring, in the project explorer, switch configuration to links. 2. Expand some project and try to copy a package. 3. Fill in a new name in the dialog and click Create copy. Actual results: Alert with "Resource name "<new name>" is invalid.", copy not created. Expected results: Package is copied, no alert. Additional info: This worked in DR4.
