The current version 1.6.3 in f21 and Rawhide is from february, and a few new versions have been released since then. Especially the ability to import and export bookmarks is of major importance for me, but there are some more interesting new features: extended command line options for better integration in file managers, new translations etc. I've seen some distros (Opensuse, Archlinux) ship separate packages for Qt4 and Qt5, because Qupzilla currently supports both. Regardless of the KDE 5 preview in f21, I would discourage to do so. Unless someone insists on the Qt5 one, currently we should provide a Qt4 version only. I assume the latter is more mature and less error-prone. Let's switch to the new libs in Rawhide and drop the Qt4 support for Qupzilla then -- as long as future upstream versions prove to be good enough ;) However, I haven't tested it for Qt5, only v1.8.3 in f21 beta, Qt4 works fine so far. Besides that, a Qt5 version wouldn't integrate into plasma-widget-menubar, until we get a new version of appmenu-qt.
Here's a srpm, built and tested on f20: https://mariobl.fedorapeople.org/Packages/Fedora_20/SRPMS/qupzilla-1.8.4-1.fc20.src.rpm Scratch build for f20: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=8160119 The package is based on the f21 package for v1.8.0 in a copr repo: https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/krvtz/home/fedora-21-x86_64/qupzilla-1.8.0-1.fc21/. Unlike in the latest official package (v1.6.3) the kwallet support has been dropped. Don't know about the reasons. But I tried to build the package locally, just bumping the versipon number in the sepc file, and got always an error while building the plugins. Maybe the kwallet plugin is broken in general...? Doesn't matter, I don't need it, although I use KDE.
Created attachment 965474 [details] Fixed kwallet-include patch I've managed to build qupzilla 1.8.4 with kwallet support. Spec file and fixed include patch are based on 1.6.3 release.
Created attachment 965475 [details] qupzilla 1.8.4 spec file And here's the srpm odf succesfull build: http://x-s.com.pl/qupzilla/qupzilla-1.8.4-1.fc20.src.rpm
Created attachment 969091 [details] qupzilla-1.8.5 spec file Qupzilla 1.8.5 update, new SPEC file, KWallet patch remians the same as for 1.8.4
Any news here...? Well, we are able to create a Copr repository to get new package versions published, but we shouldn't risk that we end up in the same chaos as Ubuntu it its jungle of PPAs.
Downloading the tarball from the known location doesn't work anymore. The tarball v1.8.5 can be downloaded from: https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/releases/download/v1.8.5/QupZilla-1.8.5.tar.xz
I've fixed some things: * New download location * Use the %%license macro * Appdata validation Spec URL: https://mariobl.fedorapeople.org/Packages/SPECS/qupzilla.spec SRPM URL: https://mariobl.fedorapeople.org/Packages/SRPMS/qupzilla-1.8.5-2.fc21.src.rpm
