Description Tomas Jelinek 2014-11-19 11:51:26 UTC
Currently, in new/edit VM dialog there are two template related fields:
"Based on Template" and "Template Sub Version". This is not necessary and takes up too much space.

It would be good to merge this two together into one with name: "Template" which would contain both the "Based on Template" and "Template Sub Version" the same way as the "Cluster" field contains both data center and cluster.

Comment 1 Nisim Simsolo 2015-05-31 07:48:26 UTC
Verified: oVirt Engine Version: 3.6.0-0.0.master.20150519172219.git9a2e2b3.el6
1. Create VM template.
2. Create sub template.
3. open Edit/New VM dialogue
4. Verify template is merged with template version.

oVirt 3.6.0 has been released on November 4th, 2015 and should fix this issue.
If problems still persist, please open a new BZ and reference this one.
