Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

As per conversation with @jmontleo, if we do bump the version of kerberos-related packages for the 7.1 release, Satellite 6 won't be able to install.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Satellite 6.0.6 from CDN with RHEL 7.1 from Beaker.

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a RHEL 7.1 x86_64 box from Beaker
2. Install Satellite 6 (latest from CDN)
3.

Actual results:

Install will fail due to dependencies.

Expected results:

Taking for the meantime, though I'm expecting/hoping for this to require no change.

Comment 4 Dominic Cleal 2014-12-05 08:34:04 UTC
Og, please verify with the RHEL 7.1 erratum in the linked bug. I suggest closing this out if it works and providing feedback to RHEL QE.

Comment 5 sthirugn@redhat.com 2014-12-09 22:05:39 UTC
This worked fine after applying the errata as mentioned in Comment 4

Installation steps:
* Get RHEL-7.1-20141204.2 box from beaker
# rpm -qa | grep krb5
  krb5-libs-1.12.2-8.el7.x86_64
# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.1 Beta (Maipo)
* Install krb5-libs-1.12.2-10.el7.x86_64.rpm package from errata
* subscribe to RH portal, enable required repos
* Added rhel 7.1 internal repo
* yum install -y katello libvirt
# setenforce 1
# katello-installer -v -d --foreman-admin-password="****"
