Description Jan Hutař 2014-11-20 22:19:26 UTC
Description of problem:
"./install.pl --upgrade --run-updater" produces "Single parameter system_debug [/usr/bin/spacewalk-upgrade-postgresql] not supported."

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Running on updated Satellite 5.6.0
Running from Satellite-5.7.0-RHEL6-re20141119.0-x86_64
Running with rhn-upgrade-5.7.0.5-1.el6sat.noarch

How reproducible:
1 of 1 attempts

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mount 5.7.0 ISO and run `./install.pl --upgrade --run-updater`

Actual results:
# ./install.pl --upgrade --run-updater
* Starting Red Hat Satellite installer.
* Performing pre-install checks.
* Pre-install checks complete. Beginning installation.
* RHN Registration.
** Registration: System is already registered with RHN. Not re-registering.
* Upgrade flag passed. Stopping necessary services.
* Purging conflicting packages.
* Checking for uninstalled prerequisites.
There are some packages from Red Hat Enterprise Linux that are not part
of the @base group that Satellite will require to be installed on this
system. The installer will try resolve the dependencies automatically.
* Installing RHN packages.
* Now running spacewalk-setup.
* Setting up SELinux..
** Database: Setting up database connection for PostgreSQL backend.
*** Upgrading embedded database.
Single parameter system_debug [/usr/bin/spacewalk-upgrade-postgresql] not supported.

Expected results:
Should work

Additional info:
Note that when I have manually ran /usr/bin/spacewalk-upgrade-postgresql, I got (after installing Satellite/postgresql92-postgresql-upgrade-9.2.8-2.el6.x86_64.rpm manually):

# /usr/bin/spacewalk-upgrade-postgresql
Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, security, subscription-manager

Trying other mirror.
Package postgresql92-postgresql-upgrade-9.2.8-2.el6.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do
Stopping postgresql service: [ OK ]

Checking current, bin, and data directories
check for "/opt/rh/postgresql92/root/var/lib/pgsql/data/base" failed: No such file or directory

Failure, exiting

But that might be different issue or misuse of the utility.
