Description of problem: Using GNOME panel applets I found the following problem with GTK2 menus: If you have a menu popping up in a way that would extend beyond the (lower) screen border, a mostly empty popup appears containing only the first lines and an arrow to scroll to the remaining lines, even when the menu itself would fit effortlessly on the screen. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gtk2-2.3.2-3 How reproducible: Easy Steps to Reproduce: E.g.: 1. create a panel on the left border 2. move/create the GNOME volume control applet to the bottom of this panel 3. right click on the applet to bring up its menu Actual results: as described, see attached screenshot Expected results: menu is displayed in the normal fashion, as if the applet weren't at the bottom of the panel
