Description of problem: In case the usage of the mount point where the Red Hat Satellite 5 PostgreSQL database resides get over 90% an information e-mail is sent with the following content: This is a notice to let you know that you have gone over 90% usage of the mount point where the PostgreSQL database resides. We recommend to be proactive and increase the storage before getting to 100% usage. Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg_xxx-lv_root 72G 68G 450M 100% / Unfortunately from the notice are not clear two important items: - Software product name - Host name. (could be found out for the email "source" address) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): spacewalk-dobby-2.3.2-18.el6sat.noarch How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Check: /etc/cron.daily/check-database-space-usage.sh Expected results: Software product name that needs attention and the Host name where resides are provided.
We have re-reviewed this bug, as part of an ongoing effort to improve Satellite/Proxy feature and bug updates, review and backlog. This is a low priority bug and has no currently open customer cases. While this bug may still valid, we do not see it being implemented prior to the EOL of the Satellite 5.x product. As such, this is being CLOSED DEFERRED. Closing now to help set customer expectations as early as possible. You are welcome to re-open this bug if needed.
