Description of problem:

The -common subpackage owns the directories and almost the whole path containing the libc.mo files.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.20-5.fc21

All these path components are already owned by the "filesystem" package. Just drop the creation of all the directories and "Requires: filesystem", that's all.

Moreover, to install the mo files correctly, you need to use the %find_lang macro. Have a look at our packaging guidelines how to use it:

I've pushed a fix to rawhide.  Please test 2.20.90-12 when it is done.  I've verified that it does not brick my x86_64 vm and the directories are no longer owned by glibc.

Ok, I haven't tested the package itself, but spec file and file list with "rpm -qpl" are OK. What do you think, is it safe to backport this change to f21?

Package glibc-2.20-7.fc21:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 21 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing glibc-2.20-7.fc21'
as soon as you are able to.
