libyaml-0.1.2-8.el5 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 5. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/libyaml-0.1.2-8.el5
Note there is no EPEL 6 update, I just retired the branch since it's in RHEL as of 6.6.
Package libyaml-0.1.2-8.el5: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=epel-testing libyaml-0.1.2-8.el5' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2014-4408/libyaml-0.1.2-8.el5 then log in and leave karma (feedback).
It looks like both libyaml and libyaml-devel were removed from EPEL 6, is that correct? I see a libyaml in the RHEL 6 SRPMS repo but no libyaml-devel, is this an oversight?
(In reply to Nick Veys from comment #5) > It looks like both libyaml and libyaml-devel were removed from EPEL 6, is > that correct? I see a libyaml in the RHEL 6 SRPMS repo but no > libyaml-devel, is this an oversight? That's correct. The libyaml and libyaml-devel binary rpms are both built from the same libyaml source rpm.
libyaml-0.1.2-8.el5 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
