Created attachment 1177397 [details] Update to 0.6.4 I updated to 0.6.4. Also - Changed rspec version from 2.x to 3.x (latest version) to become same condition with upstream. - Added rubygem(websocket-extensions) dependency. Note: Gem package: permessage_deflate is build dependency. However it is used for only examples/tcp_server.rb https://github.com/faye/websocket-driver-ruby/blob/0.6.4/examples/tcp_server.rb#L5 So, I did not include permessage_deflate in the RPM spec file. Actually I do not have had its rpm package yet. Could you check my patch? Thanks.
Patch LGTM. But I am not sure what is the issue with permessage_deflate? How is it build dependency, when it is used just in examples?
(In reply to Vít Ondruch from comment #13) > Patch LGTM. But I am not sure what is the issue with permessage_deflate? How > is it build dependency, when it is used just in examples? Thanks for your review. The permessage_deflate is just only used in sample code: tcp_server.rb It is just added as add_development_dependency in gemspec file. https://github.com/faye/websocket-driver-ruby/blob/0.6.4/websocket-driver.gemspec#L30 Actually RPM %check's test and the upstream's test are passed without the permessage_deflate package. The permessage_deflate is added below commit, and permessage_deflate looks controlling tcp packets. but I am not sure the detail. https://github.com/faye/websocket-driver-ruby/commit/ef862fd
Hmmm, aparently the gem was never working, since it could not load the binary extension: # irb Ignoring websocket-driver-0.3.4 because its extensions are not built. Try: gem pristine websocket-driver --version 0.3.4 irb(main):001:0> Going to apply the update and fix the above issue as well ...
Created attachment 1178387 [details] Update to 0.6.4 Update to 0.6.4 I will upload the patch file again. It fails to load gem on irb in mock. ``` -mkdir -p %{buildroot}%{gem_extdir_mri}/lib/ - -mv %{buildroot}%{gem_instdir}/ext/%{gem_name}/websocket_mask.so \ - %{buildroot}%{gem_extdir_mri}/lib +mkdir -p %{buildroot}%{gem_extdir_mri} +cp -a .%{gem_extdir_mri}/{gem.build_complete,*.so} %{buildroot}%{gem_extdir_mri}/ ``` Now it is succeed. ``` <mock-chroot>sh-4.3# irb irb(main):001:0> require 'websocket/driver' => true ```
vondruch's rubygem-websocket-driver-0.6.4-1.fc25 completed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=779486
(In reply to Jun Aruga from comment #16) Yep, I used the same lines, but was faster ... thx anyway.
