Description Matěj Cepl 2014-12-06 16:44:53 UTC
Neither master nor epel7 branch builds on RHEL-7 due to missing dependencies.

No package tetex available.
No package mftrace available.
No package compat-guile18-devel available.

Comment 1 Matěj Cepl 2014-12-06 17:13:35 UTC
mftrace and compat-guile18-devel are not problem (see blocking bugs), but missing tetex means that there is something wrong with RHEL build of TeXLive. Which sucks.

tetex package is a subpackage of the main texlive packages. Particularly it seems it pulls in at least two packages which are missing (texlive-metapost texlive-texmf-fonts).

Comment 2 Matěj Cepl 2014-12-07 00:00:19 UTC
Do you think, Than, there is anything we can do to get tetex (particularly apparently texlive-metapost and texlive-texmf-fonts) in EPEL-7?

Comment 3 Than Ngo 2014-12-15 13:08:54 UTC
tetex is available in rhel7, but texlive-metapost and texlive-texmf-fonts are not. Sure we can add some missing stuffs in epel7 which needed to build lilypond.

Do you have any idea how to package those additional packages? The idea that we will build whole tetex (multi-multi-megabyte beast) just to remove most of the generated files doesn’t make me extra happy.
