Created attachment 965624 [details] fedup debug log Description of problem: Update from Fedora 20 to 21 RC5 with fedup fails due wrong data in .treeinfo. --snip-- fedup:message() Downloading failed: invalid data in .treeinfo: File contains no section headers. file: /var/cache/system-upgrade/.treeinfo, line: 1 '-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----\n'" --snap-- Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): fedup-0.9.0-2.fc20.noarch How reproducible: Everytime. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Spin up a new F20 (minimal oder desktop) installation 2. Install and update all required packages and fedup 3. fedup --product=workstation --network 21 Actual results: Fails with above error message. Expected results: Prepares the fedup update. Additional info: The local /var/cache/system-upgrade/.treeinfo does not match the file on the mirrors (e.g. http://mirrors.nic.cz/fedora-alt/stage/21_RC5/Server/x86_64/os/.treeinfo - cross checked with other mirrors), and is not requested from the mirrors (verified with both, a proxy and tcpdump). Reproduced on two workstations and afterwards with two fresh installed Fedora 20 VMs (without proxy, all x86_64). So maybe a problem with the repo/metadata (blind guess).

Successfully Reproduced with a fresh install FC20 / i386.
I was informed 2 days ago that we had to wait till the release on the 9th for all the fedup pieces would be in place (I had errors doing fedup f20 netinstall x86_64 KDE to f21 product noproduct
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1171473 looks similar?
I'm also seeing this (trying to go from a network install of the base system to F21 noproduct).
kk4ewt on irc pointed out the release notes https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2014-December/204924.html "fedup tests may require the --nogpgcheck parameter until the signed .treeinfo file is available." This worked for me. Thanks!
