Still occurring with the latest updates as of today. (gnome-shell-3.14.3-1.fc21)
$ rpm -q gnome-shell gnome-shell-3.14.3-1.fc21.x86_64 A spotaneous crash while sending with Claws Mail. ABRT pointed at two existing tickets and therefore didn't submit/upload any details.
Just occurred again with up-to-date F21 including updates-testing. Sent a mail from Claws Mail compose window, and GNOME Shell restarted spontaneously.
I experience this crash few times a day on F22 gnome-shell-3.16.2-1.fc22.x86_64. Any update on fixing this?
Another user experienced a similar problem: reporter: libreport-2.6.0 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell crash_function: meta_window_unmanage executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell global_pid: 1899 kernel: 4.1.0-1.fc23.i686 package: gnome-shell-3.17.2-2.fc23 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGABRT runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
For me it was reproducible like this: - login and make sure no window is open - open GNOME Disk Utility - open the SMART-Values and Self-Tests modal dialog - minimize GNOME Disk Utility - open another application (for instance gedit) - close gedit, GNOME shell crashes and should restart Disk Utility should be visible again but without the modal dialog and not usable - after minimizing, opening gedit and closing gedit a few times GNOME shell can not be recovered
Those steps are always reproducible. Thanks.
(In reply to hyphone from comment #17) > For me it was reproducible like this This was indeed most useful, thanks!
