Description of problem: Lacks in Xfce french translation Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 21 How reproducible: Until F20, all menus where translated fine in french. Installing Xfce with F21, it appears that "Bureautique" keeps the english word "Office", "Paramètres" stays "settings, aso. So as the translation was nice in all Fedora versions earlier, why does this happen? Expected results: Additional info:
Could you please re-test with the latest release (Fedora 23 Alpha right now)?
Oops I'm sorry I have no intention to install an alpha release for the moment. Thanks for helping.
You don't need to install it, there are Live images to try on a CD or a USB stick: https://spins.fedoraproject.org/prerelease
Hi! I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're expecting ? I was complaining because on F 21, some translations into french were missing in the Xfce apps menu. So I just did what you told me and I am so happy to see that in the Fedora alpha 23 Live spin, these menus are all in english. And now ?
Now we can look further into the problem. Developers are unlikely to care about F21 anymore (especially since it has Xfce 4.10, and newer releases have 4.12). I've found that these translation reside in the "garcon" module, which has them 100% translated to French. Moving the bug to garcon, as it's not a localization issue, but a software bug.
OK thanks anyway for your reply. But actually if a bug needs 9 monthes to be taken in consideration, it will always be out of time.
Sorry the bug was misrouted. Please let us know if you see this issue with a installed newer version of Fedora and we will track it down. Thanks.
Thanks again for reply. Anyway the interface is still usefull as is. If the bugs reappears, be sure I will report it.
