Description of problem: Could you update to v1.4 for EPEL6, please? It's required by scalasca. The 1.4 packaging builds directly on EPEL6, and only scorep currently depends on it according to repoquery.
Just started to look at this. Unfortunately builds currently fail due to older autoconf in EL6. Hopefully we can come up with a workaround.
Oops. I hadn't updated the changelog for the version I built with the autoconf-latest SCL some time ago, and forgot about the mod. Apologies. There are several things I've come across in the same boat. I wonder if there's any reason not to package parallel versions, like cmake28.
There's a possible solution in the review request I've made this depend on. Apologies if adding the dependency isn't appropriate without agreement on it. It obviously would require a spec tweak to use autoconf28.
Created attachment 1001230 [details] modified spec Here's a spec that works with the aid of autoconf268. The autoconf patch no longer seems to be necessary, but I needed chrpath to placate rpmlint. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=9213065
