Created attachment 972089 [details] dmesg output Description of problem: When I close the lid of my laptop, the computer suspends like default. When I open the lid, the screen frequently (but not always) remains black. However, the mouse cursor works and everything else works (see Additional info) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.17.7-300.fc21.x86_64 How reproducible: Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes the visuals load but the lock screen background has a lot of jitters. However, when Skype is running in the background, the bug is always reproducible. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Close the lid. 2. Wait a few seconds. 3. Open the lid. Actual results: The mouse cursor appears but the screen remains black. Expected results: The lock screen appears. Additional info: I can hear Skype sounds when Skype is running. I can freely move the mouse. The keyboard fully works. I can Ctrl+Alt+F2 into TTY2 with no problem, and even startx. I use the following hardware: Laptop: Dell Inspiron 1525 Memory: 2.9 GiB Processor: Intel® Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz × 2 OS Type: 64-bit Graphics: Intel® 965GM GNOME: Version 3.14.2 Disk: 36.0 GB Proprietary software that has been installed: Skype, Steam, Dropbox, B43 firmware I've attached the output of dmesg.
