If the content are refreshed some way, for example minimize and maximize a window, or moving the cursor over a button, the black area is gone. Symptoms like that are usually a video driver issue, re-assigning

It is still a problem in latest 3.18.3-201.fc21.x86_64.
Still an issue on 3.18.7-200.fc21.x86_64 on my machine, which has the same CPU as Norbert's. KDE applications don't seem to be affected, but Firefox and Thunderbird are.
Yes, I can also confirm that. In last few weeks I also tried other AccelMethod values, did not helped.
