The ceph-deploy utility depends heavily on the functionality in python-remoto and python-execnet. Currently the version of python-execnet in Fedora 19 and 20 has bugs that cause ceph-deploy to fail. In order to work around these bugs, the upstream author of ceph-deploy has bundled execnet in his distribution. It would be great to get newer versions of python-execnet in Fedora 19 and Fedora 20, because this would remove a barrier to bundling.
python-gevent is to old in F19 and F20, so I will have to conditionalize that similar to your proposal for EL6. That said, I'd rather not like to update for F19 now, as it won't hit stable anymore.
Good catch on gevent. Thanks for noticing that.
