Description Felix Schwarz 2015-01-11 11:13:01 UTC
Description of problem:
This happened when my laptop resumed from suspend. system was completely unresponsive (display showed old contents but no visible mouse pointer, did not react to keyboard).

This happens quite often (about every third time I try to resume) since upgrading from F20->F21.

Hey Josh,
thanks for assigning this to the right bz component. How did you figure out that this is xorg related (so I can learn from that and file my bugs in the right component next time)? I assumed that it should be assigned to the kernel as I noticed a kernel oops.

Comment 3 Josh Boyer 2015-01-12 14:45:18 UTC
We assign all DRM driver kernel issues to the corresponding xorg-x11 driver component as the same people work on both the kernel and userspace sides of things. They find it easier to see the bugs in the xorg-x11 driver components rather than mixed with all the other kernel issues.

Comment 4 Felix Schwarz 2015-01-30 08:44:26 UTC
The good news is that I don't see the issue anymore with Fedora's 3.18.3 kernel (FEDORA-2015-0937).
