Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHSA-2015:1592 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE Important: Red Hat Satellite 6.1.1 on RHEL 6 2015-08-12 09:04:35 UTC

Description Krain Arnold 2015-01-14 15:24:34 UTC
Description of problem:
When editing the content view associated with a host group, not all available Content Views are presented as options until the Lifecycle Environment variable is changed and changed back.

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a content view and promote it to the appropriate Lifecycle Environment
2. Edit a Host Group
3. Attempt to assign the new content view
4. Fail
5. Change the Lifecycle Environment to anything else
6. Change it back
7. The new content view is now available under Puppet Environment (now labled Content View)

Actual results:
Without changing the Lifecycle, the content view is not an available option

Expected results:
Content views should be available to select.

Additional info:
As noted in bug 1158995, when changing the Lifecycle Environment variable, the Puppet Environment lable also changes to Content View.

Comment 1 RHEL Program Management 2015-01-14 15:25:39 UTC
Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 3 Ohad Levy 2015-03-01 14:17:36 UTC
AFAIU this happens due to the deface on lifecycle environments vs puppet environments in the foreman host view. changing it back to katello.

Comment 4 Justin Sherrill 2015-03-05 02:56:09 UTC
Not able to reproduce this on 6.1 with the current ui changes in katello 2.1

 moving to modified.

Comment 6 jcallaha 2015-03-31 18:34:22 UTC
