Description of problem: At the moment, under the "General Books" section of Xiphos, you only have three devotionals: Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, Orthodoxy by Chesterton and Pilgirm's Progress by Bunyan. I'd like to please suggest some more major mainstream Christian texts, all of which are well and truly out of copyright and therefore in the public domain. 1. Table Talk by Martin Luther. An electronic copy is available here: http://www.ccel.org/ccel/luther/tabletalk.i.html 2. Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin. An electronic copy is available here: http://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/institutes.i.html 3. A Selection of the Most Celebrated Sermons of John Calvin. An electronic copy is available here: https://archive.org/stream/selectionofmostc00calv/selectionofmostc00calv_djvu.txt 4. The Journal of George Fox. An electronic copy is available here: http://www.strecorsoc.org/gfox/title.html 5. The Confession of Saint Patrick. An electronic copy is available here: http://www.ccel.org/ccel/patrick/confession.i.html 6. Fox's Book of Martyrs by John Fox. An electronic copy is available here: http://www.ccel.org/f/foxe/martyrs/home.html 7. Major writings of Dick Sheppard (famous British Anglican priest and Christian radio broadcaster of the 1930s). Can be easily collated from these: http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_2.html#forgive%20them http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_3.html#I%20will%20not%20fight http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_3.html#if%20another%20war%20comes http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_4.html#murder%20is%20wrong http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_5.html#candid%20letter http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_6.html#christian%20attitudes http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_7.html#root%20of%20the%20matter http://www.ppu.org.uk/e_publications/sheppard_8.html#let%20us%20honour%20peace 8. Quest for the Historical Jesus by Albert Schweitzer: http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/schweitzer/ 9. Blanche Gamond: A Heroine of the Faith. An electronic copy is available here (but this one is a Google book scan downloadable as a PDF, not in plain-text format so it might be more work to migrate into Xiphos): https://books.google.com.au/books?id=7EkBAAAAQAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=blanche+gamond+a+heroine+of+the+faith&hl=en&sa=X&ei=MP-2VPO-ONTn8AW3s4HADA&ved=0CBwQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=blanche%20gamond%20a%20heroine%20of%20the%20faith&f=false 10. Historical Protestant/Calvinist liturgical book: http://quod.lib.umich.edu/m/moa/AJK3532.0001.001?rgn=main;view=fulltext I hope these suggestions help improve the product.
If you switch your install source to the "Xiphos" repository instead of the "CrossWire" repository, you will find there are several more General Books available. If you would like to report these specific ones upstream at http://crosswire.org/wiki/Module_Requests, then you may do so. In the meantime, I'll close this out as it has nothing to do with the Fedora packaging of this product nor is there anything the packagers can do about it.
