Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

The kdump Anaconda spoke provided by the kdump Anaconda addon does not define the helpFile spoke property. This results in the help content for the kdump spoke not being displayed even though it is present in the help conent provided by the Installation Guide.
How reproducible:
always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start graphical RHEL 7.1 installation
2. on the summary hub, click on the kdump addon
3. on the kdump addon screen click on the Help! button
Actual results:
the "no help available for this screen" placeholder shows up
Expected results:
the kdump specific help content is shown
Additional info:
A proposed patch has been submitted as a pull request on GitHub:
https://github.com/daveyoung/kdump-anaconda-addon/pull/5
Hello Martin
I have pulled the patch into github, but I need to know who should provide the help content xml, should we add a new file in our addon package or anaconda will provide it? Will it involves po translations?
Thanks
Dave

The help content for both Anaconda and the Kdump addon (KdumpSpoke.xml) is currently shipped as part Anaconda since version 19.31.120, so there is no need to do anything more on your side other than merging the pull request.
You can test that it works correctly by running the addon with the change on Anaconda 19.31.120+, going to the Kdump spoke and clicking on the "Help!" button in upper right corner. Then then a help window containing Kdump related help content should open.
We plan to eventually add support for addons shipping their own docs, so if you want to manage your own documentation, it will be possible in the future (~7.2).
Martin,
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we know this late or I would like to do it in 7.1. I will test on Fedora first.
For the xml I think maintain it in anaconda is fine to me.
Thanks
Dave
