Description Pete Travis 2015-01-18 21:04:20 UTC
python-dateutil will be updated to version 2.x and there may be changes that affect this package.

If openerp will work with the newer python-dateutil, you can safely close this bug. If openerp really does require python-dateutil 1.5, please use Requires: python-dateutil15 for Fedora versions of the package until it can be updated.

Comment 1 Pete Travis 2015-02-13 21:20:59 UTC
there are a lot of dateutil.relativedelta and dateutil.parser usages here; I don't think usage of these has changed much and most/all packages reviewed so far haven't needed to do anything to use them differently.

There's also some dateutil.rrule usage; the changes in that look mostly to be syntax changes to make it py3 friendly, better comments and errror handling, and some bugfix improvements. no usage derivation noted in upstream SCM logs. There are a lot of changes in the diff though, so I'm not making any definitive claims

Not a lot of distros seem to be shipping openerp7, but gentoo at least is providing python-dateutil 2.1r1 or newer[0] as a dependency

Hope this helps :)

Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.
