Description Pete Travis 2015-01-18 21:04:47 UTC
python-dateutil will be updated to version 2.x and there may be changes that affect this package.

If python-collada will work with the newer python-dateutil, you can safely close this bug. If python-collada really does require python-dateutil 1.5, please use Requires: python-dateutil15 for Fedora versions of the package until it can be updated.

Comment 1 Richard Shaw 2015-01-20 15:02:56 UTC
Can I assume that python-dateutil will also be switching from Python 2 to Python 3? That may affect my package more than anything...

Comment 2 Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2015-01-20 15:25:18 UTC
No. There will both python-dateutil and python3-dateutil built from the same source rpm.

Comment 3 Richard Shaw 2015-01-20 16:17:29 UTC
Ok, pycollada upstream thought that 1.5 was for Python 2 and that 2.X+ required python 3.

Comment 4 Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2015-01-20 17:21:09 UTC
That was true with dateutil 2.0, but fortunately this version is "bi-pythonic".

Comment 5 Richard Shaw 2015-01-20 17:23:04 UTC
Ok, in that case it looks like this can be closed. Thanks for the heads up!
