Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Mike Cao 2015-01-19 02:01:06 UTC
affected package :virtio-win-prewhql-100

There are three places where we need to keep the date
updated - copyright, inf, and resource files.

 - We update copyright file manually every year.
 - Data in inf is always updated automatically as a part of
 build.
 - Resource files seem to be never been updated, we have to fix it asap.

Comment 2 Vadim Rozenfeld 2015-03-03 02:48:30 UTC
Should be fixed in build 101, available at http://download.devel.redhat.com/brewroot/packages/virtio-win-prewhql/0.1/101/win/virtio-win-prewhql-0.1.zip

Comment 3 lijin 2015-03-04 07:19:05 UTC
check with virtio-win-prewhql-101,copyright of netkvm.sys files in Vista,Win7 and Win8 folders are still 2008.
Copyright of other drivers are correct(20xx-2015).

Thanks.
My fault, will fix it in the following build.

Comment 6 lijin 2015-03-11 07:40:43 UTC
check with build 102,all copyright of inf/sys files are updated to 20xx-2015.

There is a small issue, all viorng.inf file has no copyright mentioned in the first line as other drivers.

for example:
balloon.inf file begins with "Copyright (c) 2009-2015 Red Hat Inc."
then followed with [Version]xxxx;
viorng.inf just begins with [Version]xxxx, there is no copyright message.

Not sure this is important, please change the status to verified if this is indifferent.

Right, inf should be started with copyright block.
Should be fixed in new build.
