Created attachment 982412 [details] Host General Sub Tab Description of problem: We shouldn't abuse the sub tabs which are for routine work flow. Hardware/Software information are not apart of a routine flow. Expected results: Move Hardware Subtab into the General Tab under a specific category. I propose to have 3 small categories under general: -Info: Mem, Active VM, Spm priority... -Software: os ver, kernel ver, KVM ver, libvirt ver... -Hardware: Manufacturer, Family, UUID, Product Name, CPU Model/Type... (We can change the terms and play with what data will go where) Important: Info is for data that can mostly changed by host statistic or by the user. The software and hardware are static data (and probably less important) Jumping from one category to the other will be done by simple links. (We planned todo QoS services in the same ways - with links)
Hi, I'm fine with reorganisation of this data as long as you don't delete any of it. I found it really nice to have the ability to fast check in the webadmin some hardware details and therefore would like to use this in future releases too.

should be styled very similarly to the QoS sub-tab (Data Centers main tab) - see attachment 983477 [details].
The request doesn't specify precisely how you want the information broken out. I am going to attach some screenshots of how I thought it made sense to break down the data. Let me know if some field needs to be moved from one sub sub tab to another.

@Eldan, Can you check out the screenshots and let me know if you want any styling changes or fields moved from one location to another. @Sven, All the information is still there just arranged slightly different.
Created attachment 985466 [details] layout, constant margin
That seems the correct layout. Graphically, I would keep a constant width from one column to the other: 120px is great. Attached is an example.
@Einav, @Eldan, Is there a long-term solution to not having sub-sub tabs? Nested subtabs are generally accepted as bad ux design. Tree-views, vertical tabs, accordions are alternatives off the top of my head.
It depends, We do not know the sub tab height since the user can change it - its not constant. Since this is the case, building a vertical navigation could be a problem since it can be hidden. What you are saying could be true for the sub nav (2nd level) , I don't believe we are going to change the 2nd level tabs.
