Vulnerability in the MySQL Server component of Oracle MySQL (subcomponent: Server : Optimizer). Supported versions that are affected are 5.6.21 and earlier. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows successful authenticated network attacks via multiple protocols. Successful attack of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server.

When can we expect an update to address this CVE? Since this is a moderate vulnerability, I would have expected more activity on this since Jan 21.
Comment 3 Vincent Danen 2015-02-12 19:50:14 EST
Statement:

This issue did not affect the versions of mysql or mysql55 as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6 or 7 as it only affects MySQL 5.6.x which are not shipped with these versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
