it's exactly the same case as described here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1187510#c2 so we cannot do it quickly and I'll vote for deferring it until we replace the underlaying mechanism to use REST instead of git.

I proposed the issue for 6.2 so I believe you can consider it deferred :). Unless I misunderstood.
