RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2015:2236 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE nautilus bug fix and enhancement update 2015-11-19 09:02:22 UTC

Description jigar 2015-02-02 14:04:45 UTC
Description of problem: Unmounting USB drive fails while a file is selected.
Tested with RHEL Workstation 7.1 Snapshot 2 on LUKS encrypted USB drive and USB drive without encryption.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attach USB drive
2. Select "Open with Files"
3. Select a file with left mouse button from the mounted drive. Same happens when double-clicking a text file, file will open in gedit, now close gedit.
4. Un-mount drive using the eject symbol in the left column of Files

Actual results: Error message "This location could not be displayed"

Expected results: No error message should occur and the USB must unmount successfully.

Comment 2 Vadim Rutkovsky 2015-05-13 10:24:02 UTC
Doesn't happen for me in nautilus-3.14.2-1.el7.x86_64

Comment 4 Martin Simon 2015-09-01 12:05:44 UTC
I've re-tested it with nautilus-3.14.3-3.el7.x86_64 and everything seems to work just fine. Regarding that and comment 2 I'm marking this bug as verified.
