Description of problem: A guest running with open-vm-tools does not report ipRouteConfig information into vSphere. How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install open-vm-tools in the guest 2. Collect guest information using vSphere guestInfo API (https://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-55/index.jsp#com.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc/vim.vm.GuestInfo.StackInfo.html) 3. Actual results: NetIpRouteConfigInfo is empty Expected results: NetIpRouteConfigInfo must be reported Additional info: This issue is being tracked upstream as well, so fix will be available in the upstream code with next release of open-vm-tools. However, we can fix the existing open-vm-tools issue by a simple makefile fix in the meantime.
