Steps to Reproduce: yum install ccache gdb gcc-gdb-plugin cd gdb/testsuite runtest gdb.compile/*.exp Actual results: Running ./gdb.compile/compile-ops.exp ... FAIL: gdb.compile/compile-ops.exp: check for working compile command (timeout) [...] Expected results: No FAILs, just PASSes. Looks like this has been fixed upstream, but no release is out with it yet. Is this problematic enough that we should patch it in Fedora or is waiting for the next upstream release enough?
It is a major feature under development by Red Hat. Whether anyone uses it and/or whether the same people also use ccache I have no idea.
