Description Andrew Dahms 2015-02-09 06:09:28 UTC
In the Administration Guide, further information about the actions that can be performed on an instance is required.

For example, information about the 'Soft Reboot' and 'Hard Reboot' option and the difference between the two.

Hi Eoghan, Russell indicated that you or Nikola could take a look? Just need to ensure that there isn't some usage information that might be missing. many thanks, Summer

Hi Radek, while I'm waiting for dev feedback, could you possibly do the docs check? thanks, Summer

Comment 7 Radek Bíba 2015-05-11 07:01:12 UTC
Hi Summer,

I don't yet know what a doc check involves, but I read the whole table and checked it for possible improvements. Here are my observations:

"full l log"
A typo, I suppose.

Pause/Resume Instance, Suspend/Resume Instance - the descriptions say that a paused instance is kept on disk and a suspended instance is kept in memory, but I believe it's the other way around. See also https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Kvm-Pause-Suspend.

"Immediately suspends"
Since the other descriptions use infinitive forms, I suggest replacing "suspends" with "suspend".

Hope that helps.

I'll wait a bit longer, thanks.

Ok, looks like no other feedback is coming in; closing.
