Added to firefox-35.0.1-5

You are making Fedora users more identifiable. https://panopticlick.eff.org/ I would suggest going so far as changing the user agent string completely so that Fedora users would seem to be using a Windows computer. i.e. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
firefox-35.0.1-5.fc21 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 21. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/firefox-35.0.1-5.fc21
firefox-35.0.1-5.fc20 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 20. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/firefox-35.0.1-5.fc20

As you can see the UA string is not so significant, the combination of installed plugins and their versions provides much more unique info. > I would suggest going so far as changing the user agent string completely so > that Fedora users would seem to be using a Windows computer. > > i.e. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 If you wish so radical change, please do that so for yourself by "general.useragent.override" preference. You just need to add it there and set for any value you like.
But note - windows user agent with installed linux plugins - that combination may create the most exotic browser ever :)
firefox-35.0.1-5.fc21 has been pushed to the Fedora 21 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
firefox-35.0.1-5.fc20 has been pushed to the Fedora 20 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
Changing Firefox user agent to reflect the distribution trademark breaks Netflix since it's not whitelisted. I'm not sure it brings any real world benefit to end users (personally I never even noticed until now), could it be reverted ?
Fedora is explicitly blocked by Netflix, try to change "Fedora" to anything else. See Bug 1439293.
