Previously, if multipathing was enabled for the Compute service in /etc/nova/nova.conf and CHAP authentication was enabled in an IBM Storwize backend, attaching an Block Storage volume to an instance failed on boot ("Login I/O error, failed to receive a PDU\niscsiadm"). That is, if the Block Storage server was configured to protect the target-discovering phase using CHAP authentication, the discovery command failed (because authentication failed).
With this update, the Block Storage driver now sends authentication properties (discovery_auth_method, discovery_auth_username, discovery_auth_password) to CHAP, the discovery command succeeds, and volume attachment succeeds.
