Description Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos 2015-02-12 08:19:41 UTC
The radiusclient-ng project is dead for quite many years, and has been replaced by the freeradius-client project which provides a compatible library. Please, consider switching your project to the new library.

Thanks for this feedback Nikos

I'm aware of the situation, I actually tweaked the upstream project to work with freeradius-client and had radiusclient-ng eliminated on Debian.

However, people are using the spec file to build this package on CentOS6 / RHEL6 and they only have radiusclient-ng.

Do you know if anybody will put freeradius-client into EPEL 6, or could you do that?

Could you propose a patch for the reSIProcate spec file that will allow people to build with either of these dependencies depending upon their environment?

Comment 2 Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos 2015-02-12 14:24:43 UTC
Hi, I'll try to port freeradius-client in epel6. I don't have the resources however, to provide patches for projects to migrate.

Comment 3 Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos 2015-02-13 07:42:24 UTC
I've pushed freeradius-client to el6.

Comment 4 Daniel Pocock 2015-02-13 07:47:17 UTC
Great, my aim is to resolve this issue and also do the first EPEL 6 release of reSIProcate as part of the v1.10.x release branch. That way I can work through all the testing in one go.

Comment 5 Daniel Pocock 2015-02-18 09:40:47 UTC
Is this also available on fc20 and fc21 and should the change to use freeradius-client be made in the next fc20 and fc21 updates for reSIProcate?

Comment 6 Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos 2015-02-18 09:53:07 UTC
It is available in f21 and later.

Comment 7 Daniel Pocock 2015-02-27 11:17:33 UTC
The 1.9.9-15 build will address this.
