Description Tahlia Richardson 2015-02-23 04:56:56 UTC
While updating screen shots I noticed that the section on adding disks to a VM is in a topic about the Guide Me window, but this window does not appear in the User Portal.

Comment from Lucy:
"Tahlia, your comment re Figure 4.7. New Virtual Disk Window probably needs further exploration (in a new bug). When I create a new VM in the User Portal, I don't encounter the Guide Me window (which this topic discusses). There is an 'Add Virtual Disk' window that appears when you click 'Add' in the 'Disks' tab while a virtual machine is selected. The window I see does not have the 'Internal' and 'External' options. It looks like the topic (Completing the Configuration of a Virtual Machine by Defining Network Interfaces and Hard Disks [7478]) was used in the Admin Guide from 3.1 to 3.5, but was only brought into the User Guide in 3.4. Maybe it's a case of topic reuse that didn't quite translate to the User Guide?

There's a topic about editing a network interface here:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/User_Guide/sect-Editing_Virtual_Machines.html#Editing_network_interfaces1

And one about adding a disk here:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/User_Guide/sect-Editing_Virtual_Machines.html#Associating_a_Virtual_Disk_with_a_Virtual_Machine"

If this comes up from users we will consider to fix this, closing for now.
