Just did a fresh f22-alpha (kde/plasma) install, and went to plugin ethernet cable, expecting it to connect and 'just work'... and it didn't. [03/04/15 08:48] <rdieter> jgrulich: plasma-nm question, my fresh f22 install here... I plugged in ethernet cable expecting it to 'just work' and ... it didn't. I had to explicitly tell plasma-nm to connect, is that expected behavior? [03/04/15 08:49] <rdieter> pretty sure prior releases connected automatically (I could be wrong though) [03/04/15 08:49] <jgrulich> rdieter: this should be done automatically by NetworkManager, plasma-nm has nothing to do with this [03/04/15 08:50] <jgrulich> rdieter: except if you disconnect that connection from the applet before [03/04/15 08:50] <jgrulich> but I guess in your case it would be rather a NM issue [03/04/15 08:51] <rdieter> ok, this is the first time I ever tried connecting ethernet since I installed [03/04/15 08:51] <rdieter> I'll file a bug [03/04/15 08:52] <jgrulich> rdieter: could you check whether that connection is set to be autoconnected? [03/04/15 08:53] <rdieter> it was not [03/04/15 08:53] <rdieter> jgrulich: I just now set the option in connection editor [03/04/15 08:54] <jgrulich> rdieter: probably when NM automatically created this connection it was not set to be connected automatically
Seems to work now that I (re)installed after beta.
