Description of problem: In Rawhide Live ISO image, there's no visible menu icon for appfinder. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rawhide (as of 2015-05-03) How reproducible: yes Steps to Reproduce: 1. download the rawhide nightly xfce iso image from koji 2. start the iso in kvm 3. open panel menu to look at the application icons Actual results: no icon near xfce4-appfinder menu entry, as well none at the panel launcher button Expected results: a nice visible icon Additional info:
Ok, the problem is gtk-find icon seems to be missing from gnome icon themes. Only theme that seems have the icon theme is Rodent - which brings back the nice magnifying glass icon.
I doubt this bug can be a beta blocker. But instead severity should be high at least, cause it means generally a bad usability with a transparent button in the panel, the user may not find the launcher and wonder why there's a gap. So please either remove the launcher for appfinder from the panel, or provide a working icon file.
Ok, now I know what needs to be done. This should be an easy fix. I will push this later today after I finish reinstalling my system to F22.
Can you please install this scratch build, test this and verify that this issue is resolved? http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=9177551

But the panel launcher is still without any icon, though I can manually assign "edit-find" but this is no good solution for the end-user. Further, I detected that "Run Program..." in the applications menu does not have any icon, too. The according desktop file is for appfinder in collapsed mode. Sorry for my delayed response.

Can you explain what you mean by panel launcher? Do you mean the "launcher" item that can be added to the panel? If yes, does it change the icon to any application that you add to it? > > Further, I detected that "Run Program..." in the applications menu does not > have any icon, too. Forgot to post about it. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=619029 (If you don't mind installing the rawhide package for testing).
After a new user did login for the first time, there's a choice dialog to use some default configuration (or an empty panel). If the user chooses the default configuration, there's in the bottom panel a launcher button for the appfinder but without any icon assigned for this button, see my comment #2.
I guess the question is ... are you seeing this with this - https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=619845 I am pushing this to testing, please test this and see if this helps. It seems to work for me here. Thanks.
