Verified with:
v3.5.1 vt14.1
rhevm-3.5.1-0.2.el6ev.noarch
vdsm-4.16.12.1-3.el7ev.x86_64
Includes libvirt from:
http://download.devel.redhat.com/brewroot/packages/libvirt/1.2.8/16.el7_1.2/x86_64/

Ran the scenarion above as follows:

1. Create *preallocated* disk on block storage domain
2. Create snapshot including this disk
3. Start vm
4. From "Storage/Disk snapshots" remove the disk snapshot

The operation worked fine and the Storage domain reports the correct disk space left on the device.
