Additional info: There is a newer Fontforge release at https://github.com/fontforge/fontforge/releases : “This release fixes a few small problems and crashes and adds support for fine point adjustment”.
I will work on updating new upstream in rawhide. But, I have no plans to backport current fontforge in F21 to F20. Please consider updating your system to Fedora 21. Kevin, I see package monitoring is not default ON for fontforge. I have added the project to Anitya but pkgdb still need permission from you to ON the monitoring to get new upstream release bug filed.
(In reply to Parag from comment #1) > .. > Please consider updating your system to Fedora 21. > .. I have rebuilt from fontforge-20141230-2.fc22.src.rpm on my Fedora 20 x64 system without any problems.
I do have copr repository setup for fontforge releases https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/pnemade/fontforge/ you can install https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/pnemade/fontforge/repo/fedora-20/pnemade-fontforge-fedora-20.repo and get the latest updates.
We don't typically like upgrading fontforge in stable releases. It's used to build fonts and if we break or change something that prevents font maintainers from being able to update. In addition people don't like their tools changing in the middle of a stable release. So, I'm against an f20 update unless there's a more compelling reason. Sorry. Parag: I acked your acls and set monitoring on. ;)
There are a lot reasons why Fontforge should be updated for Fedora 20, e.g.: 1. Enhanced support for using native U. F. O. data structures; 2. No more tiny letters in GUI. By the way – it is possible to compile from the Fedora 21 or 22 source rpm-s without any modifications.
