Set LANG environment variable to 'ja'. $ export LANG=ja_JP.utf-8 2. Run useradd command with '--help'. $ useradd --help | grep -- '^ *-u' Actual results: Output: -u, --iud UID 新アカウントのユーザ ID Expected results: It should be: -u, --uid UID 新アカウントのユーザ ID Additional info: This typo seems to originally come from debian project. http://pkg-shadow.alioth.debian.org/
