Description Ben Turner 2015-03-17 23:16:57 UTC
Description of problem:

During smallfile tests glusterfs throughput to the local brick falls to 0 and CPU spikes. Gluster appears to be choking on something when the CPU spikes and throughput drops to 0.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

glusterfs 3.6.0.52

How reproducible:

Everytime.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run a smallfile test.
2. Watch iostat
3. See MB / sec drop and CPU spike

Actual results:

Drops in throughput and CPU spikes.

Expected results:

More sustained throughput to the bricks as the long periods of little to no throughput really hurts MB / sec.
