Description Patrick Hurrelmann 2015-03-24 09:19:30 UTC
Description of problem:
When updating from a previous spacewalk version to 2.3 the now obsolete and removed spacewalk-monitoring rpms are not removed. This should be either handled in rpms (proper handling of obsoletes) or should be explicitly noted in the release notes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update an older spacewalk version to 2.3/nightly after the monitoring removal
2. Check installed packages

Actual results:
spacewalk-monitoring and spacewalk-monitoring-selinux rpms are still installed

Expected results:
spacewalk-monitoring and spacewalk-monitoring-selinux rpms are no longer installed

Additional info:
This probably affects other packages, too. But this installation did not have monitoring enabled.
