If the system to update does not have plymouth installed, fedup-dracut is unable to shut down. Journal entry: <Date> <Time> <hostname> systemd[662]: Failed at step EXEC spawning /usr/bin/plymouth: No such file or directory. This is the same problem as with https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1059485 : If the initramfs has plymouth and the system doesn't it will break. Shutting down the system with Ctrl+Alt+Del works fine though. This problem happens after all the update work is done.

Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
As far as I know this bug isn't fixed, but since fedup is deprecated anyway, there is no reason to keep this open.
